First Grand Art Fair launched by Grand Design

For the first time ever Grand Design, the leading contemporary home show in theUK, is launching a Grand Art Fair that will feature works that have been hand picked from some of the countries top art galleries.

Grand Designs Live, hosted by Kevin McCloud, the TV design guru, is the ideal show for consumers that are seeking both expert advice and inspiration on everything from decoration to renovation to self build projects.

This years show are proud to announce the establishment of their Grand Art Fair, which will merge interior design with both contemporary and classic art, enabling visitors to put their own individual stamp on their homes. Whether you are a new or seasoned collector, or just an admirer of originality and beauty, the Grand Art Fair gives you the chance to add that special touch of exclusivity into your home.

For the first time ever there will be an exclusive selection of handpicked original art work from renowned artists displayed across a range of exhibiting galleries. Located in Grand Interiors, sponsored by Dulux, the participating galleries will provide a unique opportunity for visitors  to shop from a variety of artists with designs to suit all homes and styles as well as providing expert advice from established art retailers.


· Artrepublic:

Discover hundreds of highly collectable limited edition prints, including the best of British art from Damien Hirst, Banksy, Sir Peter Blake and Marc Quinn, plus sought-after works from artists worldwide such as RETNA, Mr Brainwash, Speedy Graphito and many more, all framed to perfection. For the past 20 years artrepublic has had a passion for making art accessible and affordable. They are also members of the Arts Council’s fantastic Own Art loan scheme, so you could spread the cost of your art purchases.

· TAG Fine Arts:

An art dealers and publishers based in Islington, TAG funds art commissions, publishes new work, and participates in international and London-based art fairs. They will be showcasing original artworks and limited edition prints at Grand Designs Live 2012, including prints from Robin Duttson’s acclaimed Blossom Series.

· Catto Gallery:

Established in 1986, Catto Gallery has grown to become one of the most prestigious fine art galleries in London specialising in the best of contemporary art across all mediums.

They will be showcasing three of their most popular artists at Grand Designs Live 2012: David Gerstein, Chuck Elliott and Lisa Swerling, whose eye-catching works will add that modern design touch to any home.

· COLOURBOX Art Gallery:

Run by painters Christine Relton and Tom Marine who have been painting together for 16 years and have become widely known for their original style. Representing contemporary artists from across the UK working in 2D wall based works, COLOURBOX is delighted to be showing at Grand Designs Live 2012 where they will be exhibiting their own and other established artists’ work. All works will be for immediate sale. They can also provide bespoke artworks for any space.

· Eyestorm:

The UK’s leading online retailer of limited edition contemporary art, offering work by both established and emerging artists. Initially set up to offer signed pieces by some of the world’s most celebrated artists and photographers at an affordable price, over the past 12 years Eyestorm has published limited editions with some of the most established names in the art world including Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Andy Goldsworthy, Peter Blake, Marc Quinn and Helmut Newton

· Four Square Fine Arts:

Representing mid-career fine artists from the UK, US and Europe whose work is a result of observations and reflections about man and the natural environment. Nature is often portrayed as a threatening force to be controlled and subjugated. At Grand Designs Live 2012 we will be showing work by several artists including paintings by German artist, Eberhard Ross and UK artist, Marco Crivello.

· Olivia Connelly:

A highly experienced and qualified art consultant and dealer specialising in contemporary, urban and Pop, working closely with and representing key artists in these genres. Olivia is a renowned specialist on the work of the important and highly collectable British Pop artist Gerald Laing, whose 60’s work features in museum retrospectives worldwide and whose contemporary portrayals of Amy Winehouse have achieved international acclaim. Olivia’s most recent project has been advising the St Pancras Hotel in London, newly restored to all its Victorian Gothic glory, on its art and acquisitions strategy.

· Skylark Galleries:

Established in 1995, and consisting of two small, friendly galleries on London’s bustling South Bank. Situated in the Oxo Tower Wharf and nearby Gabriel’s Wharf, the galleries are filled with a selection of original paintings, artists’ prints, ceramics and sculptures by our stable of 33 emerging and more experienced artists. Ten of the most successful and popular artists represented by Skylark will be exhibiting at Grand Designs Live, offering the perfect opportunity to invest in high quality works by artists early on in their career.
