SKETCHING

A quick freehand drawing to capture the emotion of the moment. Make notes of the colours, shapes, direction of the light and other details which will allow you later to recreate that scene as closely as possible.

It is the best way to learn to draw with accuracy and with ease : sketch at every available opportunity.
You can use pencils or charcoal but sketches can also be made using watercolour, gouache, clay or soft wax.
