MAKING SOAP

Natural handmade soaps are a must for people who understand the importance of all natural vegetable and herbal ingredients for their skin.

What ever we put on our skin in moments is drawn into the body. Natural soaps contain pure vegetable based oils such as coconut, olive and apricot kernel oil.

The traditional name "soaper", for a soapmaker, is still used by those who make soap as a hobby. Those who make their own soaps are also known as soapcrafters.

Professional soapmakers who have obtained the necessary safety and environmental permits will also use the hot process and produce soaps such as the glycerine ones.

The most popular soapmaking process today is the cold process method, where fats such as olive oil react with lye.

Soapers sometimes use the melt and pour process, where no actual soap is made, but where a natural soap base is melted and poured in individual shapes.

With our artist you will learn which combinations work well to make your own soap, caring for your skin with your favourite scent.

What do you think of Honey and Oatmeal, Elderflower and Nettle or simply Lavender ?
